For custom cabinet makers · Berks County

Nobody Googles a cabinet shop. They Google you.

Your work comes from remodelers, designers, and the last kitchen you built. Every one of those referrals looks you up on a phone before they call — and if the portfolio takes eight seconds to show a single door, the referral cools. Put your address in and see how long they wait.

No email to see your speed. If it’s fast, I say so.

The last twelve months

You know this story.

A remodeler you have worked with for six years tells a client, “Use these guys for the cabinets, they are the best in the county.” The client nods, pulls out her phone in the remodeler’s truck, and types your shop name.

Your site was built in 2019 by a guy who has since moved to Florida. Eighty photos on one page, each one straight off the camera. On the client’s phone, on a rural signal, it shows a white screen for eight seconds, then a logo, then the top of a photo. She scrolls, it stutters. She says “nice” and puts the phone away. Two days later she asks the remodeler if the big-box store’s semi-custom line would be fine.

The remodeler still likes you. He also noticed. Next time he says “these guys” with a little less weight, and you never find out why.

An agency will tell you the answer is ads on “kitchen cabinets near me.” Forty people a month across Berks type that, and most of them are looking for a store. Your answer is different. Start with the box at the top of this page.

What it is costing you

What it is actually costing a cabinet shop.

Your search volume is tiny and your ticket is huge — a full kitchen of custom cabinets runs $15,000 to $30,000. That changes what the website is for.

01

The referral that cooled in the truck

For a cabinet shop, the site is not a lead source. It is the credibility check that happens between the referral and the call. A slow portfolio does not lose you a Google lead. It loses you the $15,000 to $30,000 kitchen a remodeler already handed you.

02

The wrong search

“Kitchen cabinets near me” is 40 searches a month across Berks and the results are stores. An agency that puts you on ads there is spending your money to compete with a warehouse. The searches that matter for you are your own name, “custom cabinets,” and the remodelers and designers you have never met who search for a shop to partner with.

03

A portfolio the designer cannot send

A designer wants to text a client one link to one kitchen you built. Your site has one page with everything on it. She screenshots it instead, and the screenshot does not have your name on it.

04

A Google profile that says “closed”

Someone set the hours wrong in 2022. The photos are three cell-phone shots of the shop floor. There are four reviews. This is the first thing every referral sees, before the site, and nobody has looked at it since.

How this is different

One person. Your assets. Two numbers that matter.

Instead

A portfolio built to be sent

One fast page per kitchen, every photo right-sized for a phone, a link a designer can text. Loads in under 2.5 seconds on a rural signal or I keep working on it.

Instead

Built for the referral, not the click

I am not going to sell a cabinet shop a bidding war. The work is your name, your profile, your portfolio, and being the shop that comes up when a remodeler in Berks searches for a partner.

Instead

One person, your assets

Marine, Reading-based, builds it myself. Domain, site, profile, every login in your name. If the Florida guy still has your domain, recovering it is part of the onboarding.

What the searches are worth

Every click your competitor gets free, Google would happily sell you.

These are Berks County numbers, they are honest, and they are small. A cabinet shop is not going to fill a year from search. What search does for you is different: the referral looks you up, the remodeler looks you up, and the designer needs a link. That is what the site has to be fast for.

If an agency shows you a bigger number than this, ask them what area it is for. This is the whole county — a handful a month, and still mostly people looking for a store.

Who you are dealing with

Marine. Reading, PA. Answers his own phone.

I am Nate Taylor. I run Pagoda Web Co. from Reading, PA, and I build every site myself — no sales team, no account rep, no junior in another state.

Before this I spent years as a personal trainer and a manual therapist — two trades where nobody hires you from a brochure. They hire you because the first thing they see of you, before you have said a word, tells them you are worth the call: how you present, how clearly you explain, whether you look like someone who shows up. I built a full book of clients on that, and it taught me what every trade owner already knows in their gut. The work wins the referral. Presentation wins the stranger. Your website is your presentation to every stranger who will ever search your trade in Berks County, and my job is to make sure it wins.

If your site is slow, wrong, or not producing, you call me and I fix it. That is the whole org chart.

What you get with that

Custom-coded, not a template — which is why the sites are fast and stay fast.

A scoreboard, not a report — your portal shows calls and booked jobs, month over month, and the searches that produced them.

Your name on everything — domain, hosting, Google profile, every login. Leave any time and take it all.

Straight answers

The questions cabinet makers actually ask.

Is a website even worth it for a cabinet shop?

As a lead source, barely. As the thing every referral checks before they call, it is worth every kitchen it quietly costs you now. That is the difference between what I will build you and what an agency will.

I only have four reviews. Does that matter?

Yes, because the referral sees the Google profile before the site. Four reviews and three shop-floor photos reads as a hobby. The review system I set up asks at the moment the client is happiest — install day — and the count moves.

Do you have cabinet-shop clients I can call?

No, and I will not borrow one. I can show you my own sites passing the test you just ran, a Berks wellness client at 8 of 8 target searches on page one, and the arithmetic. The first cabinet shop is the case study and gets the early price.

My old web guy has the domain and will not answer.

Common, and fixable. Recovering a domain and moving a site is part of the onboarding, and from then on every login is in your name.

What does it cost?

A speed and conversion Tune-Up on your existing site is $1,200 plus $99 a month hosting. A rebuild is $1,500 to $3,500 depending on pages and photos, and the profile-and-review system runs from $650 a month. The system asks for 90 days — the same 90 days I guarantee — then it is month to month. You keep every asset, and the rate goes up with each case study — so early clients lock the early price.

Thirty seconds. Then you know what the referral sees.

Run the check. If the portfolio is fast, I will say so and show you the profile instead. If it is not, you will know before the next remodeler hands someone your name.
